New Features Alert: Key Improvements to Automation!

Here at Bronto we’re committed to delivering new product features for you (our customers) on a rapid and frequent basis - every three weeks to be precise!

Automation being one of the cornerstones of the Bronto Marketing Platform, our latest “sprint” includes new automation features for the Bronto Marketing Platform and the Workflow Automation module. As always, these features are designed to help you drive more revenue with Bronto!

Here’s a brief look at what’s new in the application.

New Trigger for Workflow Automation

The Spring 2011 Release featured a brand new, drag-and-drop automation canvas for visually orchestrating multi-step, cross-channel campaign workflows. We’re continuing to add new triggers, filters and actions to maximize the impact that Workflow Automation can have on your revenue.

The latest addition is the List Membership Change trigger. This lets you trigger a workflow—usually an email or a series of emails—when a contact is added to or removed from a specific list.

Here's a simple example of how this might be used. You may have region-specific contact lists and corresponding offers or deals, and when someone is added to a regional list, you'll want to make sure that the appropriate workflow is triggered, and that the contact receives the right message with the right offer. Please share other examples of how you might use this trigger! 

New “Automators” for the Bronto Marketing Platform

In addition to improving the Workflow Automation module, which will eventually replace Automated Message Rules (AMRs), we’re building a new set of automation capabilities (“automators”) for the Bronto Marketing Platform. 

The first of these automators is now available, and it lets you trigger an email to a contact as soon as they are added to Bronto, or after a set period of time, which you can express as a number of days, weeks or months. 

We will soon be adding the ability to trigger an email based on specific dates and date fields. More to come on this—stay tuned!

Product Packaging Changes

We've also made a number of branding changes in the application to reflect our new packaging model and the new conventions that Joe mentioned in his latest post. All references to editions have been removed, and the Bronto Marketing Platform (+ Modules) is now officially live!
